Projects by Dick and Howie logo

Projects by Dick and Howie is currently working on a personal information manager that takes advantage of the rich interface and power of a desktop application while avoiding the flat database model used by almost every other PIM.  Converting HTML and emails into metadata is going to be a big part of this program.  Meaningful interactions with other users will be possible through secure webservers.

For now, our project is called Mallard, and we anticipate offering a 1.0 version for the Windows platform in the third quarter of 2009.  The backend of Mallard can be used for a variety of personal and corporate applications, and we anticipate expanding our software catalog in the future, based on the technology behind Mallard.

In the meantime, we are continuing work on customized database solutions in networked environments (including an online database application).  Please feel free to contact us if you need customized software for your business or non-profit.

UPDATE

Development of Mallard has been put on hold. $75,000 worth of funding is required to complete the program to the point where beta testing can start. This proposal outlines the development plan to get Mallard to that point along with the business plan.
If you have any questions about this proposal please email Rick Glasel.
